What a fantastic wrap-up to the Fashion Futures event! K’Petch from Pipatchara truly captivated everyone with her vision for a community-driven, socially sustainable brand. She shared valuable insights on starting a brand, emphasizing the importance of aligning your core values. K’Petch also addressed the challenges of burnout and shared effective ways to cool down and recharge.

Our talk featured actionable tips and inspiring stories from leading designer, Moo Asava, offering invaluable insights on both entering the world of fashion and navigating the real business side of the industry. From sharing personal experiences to providing advice on starting and growing a fashion brand, Moo Asava empowered attendees with knowledge that will help them thrive in the competitive fashion landscape. A big thank you to our speaker and everyone who attended and made it a memorable session.

THE KAREN HILLTRIBES IN THAILAND
On 12th August 2024, severe monsoon rains struck Thailand, leading to flash floods and landslides in the Northern Provinces, particularly in Mae Hong Son. The devastation has impacted rural villages, destroying homes, infrastructure, and agricultural lands. The ongoing monsoon season continues to threaten rice fields and crops, exacerbating the situation. Public utilities have been disrupted, with many areas still facing clean water shortages, and electricity was out for two weeks after the incident. The severity of the situation has been widely reported in the Thai media.
Among the most affected are the Karen villages of Ban Mae La Ka Tai and Ban Mae Kophee. I recently visited these areas and witnessed their critical need for aid. Immediate support is essential for these communities to recover and rebuild. If you can help, please donate to the @karenhilltribes charity account information provided in the clip.
